Greta Thunberg and Other Gaza aid Flotilla Activists are Deported by Israel

Israeli authorities intercepted the twelve activists aboard the humanitarian vessel “Madleen” early Monday, which was intended to break through Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip. Since then, the majority of the activists including well-known Swedish campaigner Greta Thunberg—have been sent back to their country of origin.
Thunberg described the circumstances she and her fellow activists faced when they first arrived in Paris. However, the 22-year-old claimed that Israel’s main offence was not the ship’s confiscation.
Thunberg told world media, “The truth is that a genocide is occurring in Gaza and that there is a systematic starvation that has resulted from the siege and blockade, which is preventing food, medicine, and water that are desperately needed to enter Gaza from doing so.
Israel, however, has denied Thunberg’s allegations. “Greta, persona non grata, received food and good treatment,” Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated at a press conference. Israel used a nonviolent approach. To be clear, this non-Grata figure will not be permitted to remain in Israel. Additionally, the Israeli official described the protestors’ travel as “just a publicity stunt.
