In an Attempt to lift Israel’s Siege, a land Convoy Departs Tunisia for Gaza

In an attempt to lift Israel’s siege on Gaza, hundreds of volunteers departed Tunisia on Monday in a land convoy. The “Soumoud” convoy, which translates to “steadfastness” in Arabic, seeks to both support the Palestinian cause and lessen the suffering of the people of besieged Gaza.
Youth groups were among the Tunisian organisations that took part in the project. This is a commendable effort to increase youth awareness, demonstrate that we are young people who care, and present our message dignifiedly. Yahya Shalabi, the leader of the We Run Nabeul running group, said, “And may God help our brothers in Gaza.”
The caravan’s members, including journalists, medics, attorneys, and activists from around North Africa, departed Tunis.
Everyone is worried about what happened to the Madleen relief boat, which was occupied by activists including Rima Hassan, a member of the Franco-Palestinian European Parliament, and Greta Thunberg, a Swedish climate campaigner.
