According to a Poll, more Americans Support Trump’s Approach to the Gaza Crisis

According to a recent AP-NORC poll, more American adults now approve of President Donald Trump’s handling of the Israeli conflict after he mediated a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, but his approval ratings on domestic matters are still low.

According to a survey conducted by The Associated Press-NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research, Trump’s reputation at home has not yet improved despite his seeming success abroad.

The poll was held from October 9–13, following the announcement of the ceasefire in Gaza but before the hostages and inmates were released in Israel. Even though there are still many unanswered issues regarding the US strategy for the area and if the peace can be maintained, the precarious agreement held this week.

Trump also faces significant domestic challenges, including a government shutdown that is already in its third week, prices that are still too high for many Americans, and hospital closures and healthcare cuts that affect millions more.

According to the latest poll, which remained consistent from September, roughly 40% of American citizens are satisfied with Trump’s overall performance as president. Several of his supporters even stated in interviews that he should do more to handle issues like immigration, healthcare, and the economy.
