Football Player Portia Modise, A South African, Is Kidnapped And Held At Gunpoint In A Car
After her automobile was stolen outside her Soweto house, former South African football captain Portia Modise has begged supporters for assistance in locating her vehicle.
Modise revealed in an Instagram video that “boys” had her phone, car keys, and other belongings while holding her at gunpoint.
The former Banyana Banyana star is still affected by the incident, according to the Portia Modise Foundation.
In 2015, Modise, the first African football player to reach 100 goals, announced his retirement. The 41-year-old Modise said she wasn’t physically harmed in her article.
“A few individuals grabbed me and pointed guns at me when I got home. Though I am not well, I am thankful for life.”
She requested folks to get in touch with her if they spot her stolen automobile and supplied the registration details.
“If anybody has seen this car, it’s a blue Polo Golf – that is my car,” she stated.
Fans have responded to the video with great enthusiasm, but the automobile is still missing.
At the age of sixteen, Modise made her debut on the international scene in 2000. She went on to play a record amount of games for Banyana Banyana.
She was a 2005 FIFA Player of the Year nominee and the African Women’s Championship Player of the Tournament winner the following year.
