Libyan Prime Minister Dbeibah Condemned the Deplorable Situation in Gaza During a Meeting with US Officials

Libya condemned the poor situation in Gaza during a meeting with US officials in Tripoli on Wednesday. The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid ad-bye-buh Dbeibah, met with Massad Boulos, the US Senior Advisor for Africa and Senior Advisor to the President for Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs.

In a statement issued by Libya’s internationally recognized government, Dbeibah condemned the “crimes, starvation, and ongoing aggression being perpetrated against the Palestinian people in Gaza. He stressed the need for an immediate end to the aggression, lifting the siege, and sparing civilians the ravages of war,” according to a statement.

According to experts, Gaza is in serious risk of hunger as a result of Israel’s siege and offensive, which began in response to Hamas’ onslaught on October 7, 2023. Israel claims it permits adequate supplies into the region and criticizes UN delivery attempts.

They claim Israeli limitations and a collapse in security hamper them. During the October 7 attack, Hamas-led terrorists abducted 251 individuals and murdered around 1,200 people, the majority of whom were civilians.
