Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania Prepare to Start off the African Nations Championship

Salim Mvurya, the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports, says his country is ready to go: Everything else that is required of us we have done and CAF (the Confederation of African Football) has confirmed that we are making good progress.”

Mosengo-Omba, the General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football, confirmed that the host countries are fully prepared for the tournament. During the CAF’s last inspection of sporting facilities in Kenya, the general secretary lauded the efforts made by the three host countries:

Three of them are doing well, and there is excellent coordination and formation change. I believe that we need to learn from them in Africa. To see three countries work together, they put the resources together to do this task.”

The hotel industry is also excited about the competition, which is projected to attract a large number of tourists to the host nations. Given that this is the first time East African countries have hosted this event, football fans predict a thrilling spectacle.
