After President Maduro is The Subject of a US Operation, fear and Uncertainty Engulf Venezuela

Following what US authorities describe as a massive American military action targeting President Nicolás Maduro, fear and anxiety are spreading throughout Venezuela. US soldiers launched what Washington described as a large-scale assault in an unexpected attack early on Saturday. According to sources, Maduro was apprehended during the operation and flown out of the nation. Hours later, US President Donald Trump announced on social media, claiming that Maduro’s regime had been under increasing pressure for months.

Residents in Caracas, the capital, claim that everyday life has become chaotic. Fearing shortages and additional instability as rumors and uncertainty spread, many hurried to stores to purchase food and necessities.

How am I feeling? Like everyone else, I’m afraid,” said Noris Prada, a native of Caracas. “Venezuelans were afraid when they woke up. Many families had trouble falling asleep. I recently returned from Maracay and have been living on the streets. Everything is obstructed, and everything is terrible. Maduro’s government has denounced the US move as a “imperialist attack,” a sentiment shared by several citizens of the capital who expressed fear and rage over foreign intervention.
