Africa Has a Lot of Economic Promise Trump Had lunch With five African Presidents

In the opening remarks of his White House lunch with African leaders, US President Donald Trump stated, “There’s a lot of anger on your continent.” The Trump administration has taken drastic measures that it claims are intended to change the U.S. relationship with Africa, including the unexpected meeting with the leaders of Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Gabon, Mauritania, and Liberia.

Trump requested each of the gathered African leaders to speak personally as the meal got underway, but he later appeared to be sorry that it was taking so long. Speaking individually, the West African presidents commended Trump for his attempts to promote international peace agreements.

Bassirou Diomaye Faye, the president of Senegal, proposed that his nation also provided tourism-related investment possibilities, such as a golf course. Trump could come and demonstrate his abilities, Faye added, adding that the course would just be a six-hour trip from New York. Trump questioned the Liberian leader where he learnt to speak so “beautifully” after President Joseph Boakai concluded his brief comments at the beginning of the White House meeting.
