The Most Recent Murder of Journalists in Gaza has Been Condemned by Reporters Without Borders

Reporters Without Borders (RSF), an international organization dedicated to press freedom, has vehemently denounced Israel’s recent killings of journalists in Gaza. The attack on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis on Monday, which claimed the lives of five Palestinian media workers, has sparked indignation around the world.
The double-tap strike claimed the lives of 20 persons in total, including journalists who rushed to the scene of the first one only to be slain by the second. Israel has prohibited foreign media outlets from reporting on the conflict. News organizations in Gaza must mostly rely on local journalists and citizens to tell the world about what is happening there.
Reporters Without Borders head Thibault Bruttin stated, “We must facilitate the opening of the Gaza Strip to the international press … we must break the cycle of impunity for crimes against Palestinian journalists.”
More than 200 journalists have been slain since the conflict started 22 months ago, despite the fact that international law guarantees their safety even during times of war.
