At Least six Individuals are Injured When Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon

At least six people were injured and enormous explosions prompted widespread terror after Israeli airplanes launched a series of raids in southern Lebanon on Thursday, hitting a cement company and an environmental group’s facility that it claims are Hezbollah fronts. According to the Israeli military, it hit a location owned by Green Without Borders and a quarry run by the International Majabel Company.

Hezbollah was allegedly utilizing the quarry to “rebuild terrorist facilities and infrastructure,” according to government statements, while the environmental group was being exploited “to conceal terrorist activities.

Six individuals were confirmed injured in the cities of Bnaafoul and Ansar by the Lebanese Health Ministry. According to the state-run National News Agency, the explosions’ force was distributed over a large region, “causing tremors that sparked panic and tension among citizens.”

Fears of a wider regional war have been raised by the incident, which represents a substantial escalation in the existing cross-border confrontation that has witnessed nearly daily exchanges of fire since October 2023.
