Ramadan: During the Islamic Holy Month, an Egyptian Charity Provides Help
The Misr ElKheir charity foundation in Egypt is preparing assistance for impoverished citizens as Islamic Muslims around the world prepare to celebrate Ramadan. Volunteers believe the meals will help families struggling to make ends meet.
Every year, I see that Misr ElKheir packs Ramadan boxes for families in need every day, and I’ve always wanted to be part of the volunteering team involved in this,” said volunteer Mariam Zaki. I was able to join the volunteer team this year and helped pack Ramadan boxes. Depending on the requirements of the families, the contents of the boxes vary each year. Hopefully, these boxes will make these families happy this year and we will be able to give them all they require.
The chairman of the Misr ElKheir Foundation’s solidarity and debtors section, Hanan el-Derbashy, hopes that the charity’s efforts will benefit millions of individuals. This year, our goal is to feed 7 million people who are fasting,” she stated. Across all its sections, the foundation is striving to achieve this enormous goal. We have numerous departments and volunteers, including the supply chain department.
