Conflicts and Violence are Predicted by Cuban Santería Priests in 2026

The priests known as Babalawos agreed to issue a warning about the perils of war and a rise in violence. According to Cuban Babalawos, Oggún, the ruler of metals (or weapons), roads, and battles, will be the presiding deity in 2026. Additionally, he is the patron saint of blacksmiths. The religious officials clarified that Oya, the goddess of winds and storms, is Oggún’s companion deity.

In addition to the social events of interest, which include an increase in violent and criminal activities, a spike in fires and accidents, and even “significant changes within the Cuban government,” according to a document they briefed, the combination of these indicators and their deities may bring disease.

All religions share our desire for health and harmony. Peace and health are what we want,” stated Silvio Mendez, a Babalawo. The Babalawos also noted the ongoing tensions in the Caribbean, which have been made worse by the US military strikes on Caracas on Saturday and the arrest of Nicolas Maduro, the president of Venezuela.
