Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, all owned by Meta, are currently facing an outage that has affected users globally. The technical issues, which began on Tuesday, have resulted in a variety of problems, including difficulties with logging in and refreshing feeds.
User Reports Highlight Range of Problems
The outage has led to users being logged out of their Facebook accounts with no ability to log back in. Instagram users are experiencing issues with refreshing their feeds and loading stories and comments. Threads, meanwhile, is completely down, showing error messages to those trying to use the app.
Meta’s Efforts to Address the Outage
In light of the increasing reports of service disruptions, Meta has acknowledged the issue through a tweet from spokesperson Andy Stone, who stated, “We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now.” This acknowledgment reassures users that Meta is aware of the problems and is taking steps to resolve them.
