China is One of Eight Nations That Participate in Military drills in Russia

Following coordinated ground and air operations, troops from eight nations wrapped off joint military drills in Russia on Saturday, according to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV. In the Chelyabinsk region of Russia, the Center-2026 strategic military drill got underway on Monday.

According to CCTV, Russia, China, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, and Tajikistan participated. Before engaging in live-action manoeuvres against simulated enemy objectives, the participating soldiers at the Chebarkul training site performed long-distance deployment and cooperative operations planning, according to CCTV.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, was present at the drills on Friday in the Ural Mountains. According to him, Center-2026 trained 47,000 soldiers to fend off an assault in the Caspian Sea and at 11 fire ranges.

Putin stated that about 6,000 Russian and foreign soldiers participated in the last stage at Chebarkulsky. According to CCTV, China dispatched soldiers from the Central Theatre Command, including troops of the 82nd Group Army and a combined-arms brigade.
