At the Golden Globes, Zoe Saldaña Celebrates Her Creative Calling
In addition to winning Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Pérez, Zoe Saldaña was a star at the 82nd Golden Globes for her sincere assessment of her talent and dedication to the arts. During the post-award press interviews, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avatar star gave an emotional glimpse into her artistic journey.
Saldaña started off by openly discussing a period of uncertainty a few years prior. “I’m just, you know, I’m 46,” she said. “I was considering backup plans, such as if I should move into a homestead and begin baking items, tending to a garden, and becoming the hottest soccer mom I can imagine. However, I have to produce every day since I am an artist.
Her speech emphasized the close connection between her feeling of purpose and her artistic expression. “I simply don’t know what I can do if not. I have no idea why I’m here. And when I am let to create, that is how my loved ones may overcome me.”
Saldaña conveyed her sincere appreciation to filmmakers who believe in her abilities, such as Emilia Pérez’s director Jacques Audiard. “They choose to place a wager on me following discussions, auditions, and assurances that I can do things. “And it’s effective,” she remarked.
