As The Trade Battle Intensifies, China’s Xi Calls for Collaboration With the EU

On Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping urged his nation and the European Union to work together more closely in order to combat “bullying. Xi was meeting Pedro Sanchez, the prime minister of Spain, who was in Beijing.

His comments coincide with President Donald Trump’s approval of a 125% tax on Chinese goods to the US, intensifying the trade conflict with Washington. We have both agreed in our several discussions that it is in the long-term interests of both parties to develop China-Spain relations with strategic resolve and win-win cooperation.
