As South Africa Prepares For Pivotal Elections, Thousands Attend The Eff’s Final Rally.
Thousands of Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters gathered at a stadium in Polokwane, South Africa, for the party’s final campaign rally. South Africa’s four major political parties have completed their campaigns ahead of what could be a watershed moment for the country after 30 years.
Malema, the fiery leader of the EFF, thanked his supporters for their unwavering support and declared a successful campaign.
I’m here to conclude the EFF campaign. I am here to tell you that we ran a good race. We’re here today because we had a very successful campaign. The ground forces of the EFF have made everyone aware that there is a child called the EFF who deserves to lead.
Now, South Africans must decide whether or not they want unemployment, load shedding, or landlessness. The decision is now yours. We live here with great pride because we did everything we could to make our generation proud.
The election began on Friday, May 17, with special voting at nine South African missions abroad. This will be followed by a general election on May 29th in all provinces to determine the composition of both the national and provincial legislatures.
