Palestinians Displaced in Gaza Suffer from a Shortage of Necessities

In the Gaza city of Deir al-Balah, hundreds of displaced Palestinians have sought refuge and are currently engaged in combat over basic necessities like food and water. After being uprooted from Deir al-Balah, Nasser Ghabin bemoaned the scarcity of water. Nothing has gotten better. This anguish is over. I don’t have a 250-liter water tank to store water. Adeeb al-Nimir was approaching the water truck barefoot while carrying dented jerrycans that he would fill with whatever he could for his fifteen-member family. They all reside in a single tent, he claimed. Al-Nimir, who was uprooted from Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza during the conflict, declared, “We are tired of living in tents.”

In the war-torn Gaza Strip, Palestinians also reported a decrease in the number of charity kitchens catering to the displaced people and a shortage of food. Outside her tent, Dalia Khriwat was preparing fried eggplants for her eight children. Aid boxes and charity kitchens are hard to come by, she said. She stated, “People want to eat meat or chicken, but there is nothing.
