Middle East War: A Temporary Ceasefire Between the US and Iran is Proposed

A document calling for a 45-day ceasefire has been sent to both the US and Iran. Iran must also relax its control over the Strait of Hormuz shipping channel, according to the proposal. It was proposed by mediators from Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey in the hopes that the 45-day period would give talks enough time to result in a lasting peace.

As of right now, neither side has replied. It comes after US President Donald Trump threatened to attack Tehran’s vital infrastructure if it didn’t reopen the Strait. Iran said on Monday that the Strait of Hormuz will never return to its pre-conflict form, particularly for the US and Israel. On Sunday, the US President threatened Tehran on social media with profanity.

The United States and Israel are advancing their airstrike campaign in Iran. Iran’s state television said that the chief of the paramilitary revolutionary guard was murdered in an incident on Monday. Civilians continue to suffer greatly as a result of the violence; on Monday, more individuals were killed nationwide.
