Trump’s Final Stop on His Middle East Visit is the United Arab Emirates

Three nations, four days: US President Donald Trump began his trip of various Gulf states on Tuesday and landed in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday. President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the American president as he landed in Abu Dhabi. After being given a tour of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Trump praised it as ” beautiful.”

Trump’s first significant international trip of his second term as president includes a trip to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Since Trump took office again, these nations, which rank among the richest in the world because of their oil-rich territories have shown a strong desire to strengthen their relationship with the US.

On Tuesday, a deal representative of this new connection was revealed with Saudi Arabia: the United States promised to sell the Middle Eastern nation an armaments package worth around $142 billion, while Saudi Arabia promised to spend $600 billion in the United States. It’s unclear if equally big agreements with the United Arab Emirates will be revealed anytime soon, but it’s possible.
