The Eagerly awaited film Wicked opens in South Africa

Ethan Slater states, “It’s been really exciting that the movie is receiving so much attention because everyone is so excited about it, wants to learn more, and can’t wait to see it.” And it makes me very happy that we are at the stage in the process when people will be able to see this film and comprehend why we adore it so much and why we are so enthralled with it. The cast describes the experience of singing live on set as both exciting and intimidating.

It’s the work of dreams. Being able to work with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, produce a film that holds such personal significance for me and countless others, and see it on a large screen among the Emerald City and Munchkin is the stuff of dreams. Everything is a dream, after all. Director Jon M. Chu stated, “I couldn’t ask for anything more because we also get to make this movie for a beautiful family.”

The tale follows the beginning of the relationship between Grande’s character, Glinda the Good, and Cynthia Erivo’s character, Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, from “The Wizard of Oz.
