Kenya Receives an Official Visit from Danish Queen Mary

On Tuesday night, the Danish queen made her formal three-day visit to Kenya. After visiting Egypt for a reception organized by the Danish Embassy in Cairo, this is the second African nation the Danish monarch has been to in two months.

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Minister Musalia Mudavadi and Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano welcomed the Danish Queen Mary at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Mary is scheduled to visit coastal conservation development projects for endangered species while in Kenya. She will also be visiting landfill projects that are essential to waste management, urban environmental resilience, and circular economy efforts.

Later, she will go to a meeting at the UN office in Nairobi. The goal of the state visit is to improve cooperation between Denmark and Kenya in the areas of environmental protection, climate action, and renewable energy.
