Survivors of The Devastating Attack on Villages in Nigeria are Left Stunned

Survivors of a horrific attack on the villages of Woro and Nuku in Nigeria’s Kwara State have only been left with ruin. According to locals, the alleged jihadists arrived on motorbikes late Tuesday, opened fire indiscriminately and set fire to homes, killing 170 people.

In Nigeria’s bloodiest attack in months, Islamists picked up largely Muslim villagers, tied their arms behind their backs, and shot them in the head. Violence has increased in the state and other conflict zones as armed groups question the government’s authority and compete with one another.

Maryam Muhammed, a survivor of the incident, stated that her house was completely destroyed and there was nothing she could save.My shop’s exterior fridge is gone, and there is nothing else. The fences have all been destroyed, she stated.

Muhammed claimed that individuals were burnt to death in her home with “no legs or heads, they were chopped off, and I could not recognise them.Following the violent attacks, the government sent an army battalion to the Kaiama district of the state.
