At His Inauguration, Paul Kagame Reaffirmed His Commitment To Serving As Rwanda’s President

Recently re-elected President Kagame of Rwanda took office on Sunday in a lavish ceremony that took place in the country’s capital, Kigali. Taking the oath of office, the 66-year-old leader, who has led the country since the aftermath of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, vowed to remain loyal to the Republic of Rwanda. “I, Kagame Paul, do solemnly swear to Rwanda that I will remain loyal to the Republic of Rwanda, observe and defend the Constitution and other laws diligently, and fulfill the responsibility entrusted to me,” he said, proclaiming his determination to take the helm of the country.
