John Dramani Mahama of Ghana and Xi Jinping of China Promise to strengthen their Bilateral Ties

Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama and Chinese President Xi Jinping met Tuesday on the margins of the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women, which was organized in Beijing in collaboration with UN Women.
As China and Ghana commemorate 65 years of diplomatic ties, the meeting took place. According to Xi Jinping, the two nations’ friendship has gotten stronger over time. Chinese President Xi urged the two countries to work together to carry out the decisions made at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation’s 2024 Beijing Summit.
Xi said that the two nations ought to increase their collaboration in a number of areas, such as mining, energy, building infrastructure, agriculture, and fisheries. Mahama, the president of Ghana, pledged his support for China’s new Global Governance Initiative, which aims to create a more just global governance structure.
Mahama also expressed gratitude to China for helping his nation through programs like the 2013-launched Belt and Road Initiative. China is a significant investor and one of Ghana’s primary trading partners.
