Trump’s First 100 Days in Office coincide with a Trade Spat with China

As US President Donald Trump approaches his 100th day in office, tensions are rising everywhere due to international tariffs that mostly target China. In what top Democrats describe as an “unprecedented and dangerous” attack on programs that countless Americans depend on, the Trump administration has frozen, stalled, or otherwise disrupted about $430 billion in federal funds, ranging from disaster aid to disease research to Head Start for kids.
Chaos, brutality, and corruption have defined the first 100 days of the Trump presidency. This is not America. For the benefit of Americans, we need to be able to do better. The Trump administration has not succeeded. Additionally, Republicans in Congress are allowing extremists to harm the American people by acting as a pointless rubber stamp. This is a truth moment. Will a few members of the House of Representatives act to protect the American people and stop the biggest Medicaid cut in history? Will Republicans in the House defend America’s veterans? Will Republicans in the House take a stand and put an end to this attempt to deny American children food?
