US: Trump is Safe Following the Arrest of an Armed Guy Close to the Candidate’s Golf Club

Donald Trump, the front-runner for the US presidency, was whisked to safety on Sunday, September 15, following what the FBI described as a “possible assassination attempt.”

The scene of the incident, the West Palm Beach golf club, was clearly under police presence.

Agents of the Secret Service saw the gunman fleeing and opened fire.

The press conference was hosted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Ric Bradshaw recalled, “Thankfully, we were able to track down a witness who approached us and said, ‘Hey, I saw the guy fleeing out of the bushes.

“He leaped into a black Nissan, and I snapped a photo of the car along with the tag. The guy was apprehended after we contacted the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, who observed the car and pulled it over.

Donald Trump was around 360 meters away from the gunman, according to the sheriff.

The former president was having a morning at his Florida golf club away from the campaign path. He had escaped an attempt on his life in August.

The man has been named as Routh Ryan, 58, by the media.
