Obamas Give Vice President Kamala Harris A Hearty Endorsement
Vice President Kamala Harris received thunderous support from Michelle Obama and her husband, former US President Barack Obama, during Tuesday night’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
The former first lady was warmly welcomed and criticized Republican nominee Donald Trump for his rhetoric and policies, calling them a “limited and narrow view” of the globe.
“Why would any of us take this from someone running for our top position? Why would we accept that kind of outdated leadership? She remarked, “Doing so only serves to denigrate and debase our politics.”
It does nothing but make kind, generous individuals even less inclined to become engaged. America, we learned better from our parents than that. And it is so much less than what we deserve.
Obama agreed with his wife when she said that Tim Walz and Kamala Harris were the “only viable choices” for the November presidential election.
He challenged the 50,000 convention participants to get involved in politics and pushed them to support Harris for president.
But both Obamas cautioned that a hard battle lay ahead.
