Uk: Manchester Knife Assault Leaves A Mother Fatally Stabbed And Two Others Seriously Hurt
An arrest has been made in relation to a 22-year-old man who killed his mother by stabbing. His brother, 17, and sister, 17, were both hurt in the event and are presently in critical condition in the hospital.
Manchester Police say the incident happened on Sunday at a house on Barnard Road in Gorton, close to Longsight.
The dead has been recognized by Manchester police as 43-year-old Alberta Obinim, popularly known as Mother for All.
After responding to several emergency calls, police swiftly detained the guy on murderous suspicions. He is being questioned while being held in jail.
While they interview witnesses and gather information, detectives have roped off the area. Police are treating this as a unique occurrence and believe the victims knew the suspect.
Detective Superintendent Toby Facey acknowledged the community’s shock and concern while expressing compassion to those impacted. He asked anyone who has dashcam footage or information from the area about Sunday night around 11 p.m. to come forward and help with the investigation.
To reassure the locals, there will continue to be more police patrols in the region.
