Three People Are Killed In An Israeli Attack On Beirut, According To The Idf, And The Target Was The Head Of Hezbollah

Israel claimed to have killed the Hezbollah commander responsible for the weekend missile attack that killed 12 youths in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights by carrying out an uncommon strike on Beirut on Tuesday.

The commander’s death was not immediately confirmed by Hezbollah.

The Israeli strike escalated hostilities with the Lebanese terrorist group, killing a woman and two children and wounding numerous others.

The target, according to Israeli military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, was Fouad Shukur, a senior Hezbollah military figure whom the United States holds responsible for organizing and carrying out the fatal Marine bombing on the Lebanese capital in 1983.

It wasn’t immediately evident if Shukur had been struck.

Israel is holding the militant organization accountable for the missile attack that occurred in the village of Majdal Shams on Saturday, despite Hezbollah’s unusual denial of any involvement.

In the context of the Gaza War, the two sides have been exchanging nearly daily strikes for the last ten months; nevertheless, in the past, they have managed to keep the conflict at a low level that was unlikely to turn into a full-scale confrontation.

Hagari stated, “The people of Lebanon and the entire Middle East are being drawn into a wider escalation by Hezbollah’s ongoing aggression and brutal attacks.”
