A Libyan Minister Discusses Security Matters with Syrian officials

On Saturday, the Libyan State Minister for Political Affairs and Communications traveled to Damascus to meet with newly appointed Syrian officials. Libyan State Minister Walid Al-Lafi met with Ahmad al-Sharaa, the leader of the Syrian HTS (Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham), at the Al-Shaab Palace in Damascus.

Al-Lafi told reporters after the meeting that he spoke with the new Syrian officials about the security and military concerns between the two nations.

The timing of the conference, the cross-files between Libya and Syria, particularly the military and security files, and the regional repercussions of the significant events that occurred in Syria made it significant, according to Walid Al-Lafi.

Following the overthrow of the regime of former Syrian President Bashar Assad, foreign and Arab politicians are swarming to Syria with promises of collaboration and help for the restoration of the ravaged nation and the peaceful handover of power.

Following the meeting, Al-Lafi informed reporters that he spoke with the new Syrian officials about the security and military concerns between the two nations.
